About Us

Eco Air Technology was founded by directors, Andrew Lee and Dato Chan. When Andrew Lee was working and transferred to Japan, he was impressed by the cleanliness at private homes and public areas. He noticed that most of the restrooms had prominent labels, even on the toilet bowls, that mentioned ‘photocatalyst treated’. Curiosity then led Andrew Lee to do extensive research of those labels and eventually discovered about the latest photocatalyst treatment currently in use in Japan.

Back in Malaysia, Andrew Lee and Dato Chan met up and a discussion of durian smells in cars was brought up. This is when the topic of photocatalyst treatment was mentioned. With keen interest in good hygiene and eco-environment, both decided to purchase the license of the latest “Titania phosphate-based catalyst without light” named “Eco Kimera” product from Japan, thus, Eco Air Technology was established.

What is Formaldehyde?

Formaldehyde is a colorless, flammable, strong-smelling aldehyde gas formed by the oxidation of methanol or incomplete combustion of hydrocarbons.
While it is produced naturally in small amounts by living organisms, there is also formaldehyde-based chemistry like resins, which is normally used in the manufacturing of household products, pressed-wood products and household furnishings, furniture and structures.
